Fused Silica Optical Dome Overview

Fused Silica Optical Domes are precision protective optical components manufactured from high-purity fused silica (SiO₂). The material provides excellent ultraviolet transmission, low optical absorption and stable performance across UV, visible and near-infrared wavelengths.

An extremely low thermal expansion coefficient allows fused silica domes to maintain their geometry and optical performance during temperature changes. High laser damage resistance also makes them suitable for demanding laser and scientific optical systems.

Chenyu Optics manufactures custom fused silica domes according to customer drawings, including customized diameter, wall thickness, dome geometry, surface accuracy, surface quality and UV, VIS or NIR antireflection coatings.
