Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) Plano Convex Lenses
CaF₂ PCX lenses are used in laser optics, spectroscopy and imaging systems requiring low dispersion and broadband transmission. CaF₂ offers 0.13–8 μm transmission with low refractive index and minimal fluorescence. It is suitable for UV to mid-IR optical systems. Chenyu Optics manufactures custom CaF₂ plano convex lenses with UV AR, VIS AR, NIR AR and broadband AR coating options.
Calcium Fluoride Plano Convex Lenses Overview
Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) Plano Convex Lenses are precision optical components with one flat surface and one convex surface, used to focus, collimate or converge light in UV, visible and infrared optical systems.
Calcium Fluoride is valued for its broadband transmission from approximately 0.13 μm to 8 μm, low refractive index, low dispersion and minimal fluorescence. These properties make CaF₂ plano convex lenses well suited to laser optics, spectroscopy and broadband imaging systems where chromatic aberration and background fluorescence must be minimized.
Chenyu Optics supports custom CaF₂ plano convex lens manufacturing according to customer drawings, including custom diameter, focal length, center thickness and coating design for prototype and repeat production.
