What are IPL Filters?
IPL Filters are essential elements of the strong pulse light machines.
They can transmit the wave from 400mm to 1200mm.
Compared with other common UV filters, it emphasis on the specific wavelengths used for IPL treatment, while eliminating some ultraviolet wavelengths.
Therefore, they are the vital component of the IPL devices.
How do IPL Filters work?
It blocks harmful ultraviolet rays within a specific range, thereby enabling various treatments such as skin firming management, vascular treatment, facial redness reduction, and other related treatments.
The spectral range of the IPL Filter
Common transmission bands (can be selected according to the purpose of the treatment):
-
515 nm- For superficial pigments (freckles, red blood vessels)
-
560 nm-It can be used in anti-spot, whitening
-
590 nm-Some medical devices also need the filters. It can reduce telangiectasias.
-
640 nm / 690 nm-If you need hair removal, the IPL filter is also an essential component.
-
755 nm-Some treatment like deep pigment treatment also need the IPL filter.
Advantages of IPL filters
-
High transmittance:
It can allow over 90% of the light to pass through according to specific wavelength requirements.
-
High blocking rate:
It can effectively block harmful ultraviolet rays, thereby facilitating better treatment procedures.
-
Resistant to high energy:
Capable of withstanding intense pulsed light exposure
-
Coating is firmly bonded:
It can carry out different types of coating.
