What is a ZnSe lens?
Zinc Selenide Lens (ZnSe Lens) is an optical lens made of the compound zinc selenide.
It is widely used in the mid-infrared band, especially in 10.6μm CO₂ laser systems, where it has an extremely high utilization rate.
Because of its excellent infrared transmittance and low absorption rate, ZnSe lenses have become the ideal choice for laser systems.
Some commonly used technologies such as laser cutting and infrared thermal imaging systems all need zinc selenide lenses.
ZnSe is a yellow semi-transparent polycrystalline or single-crystalline material. It is widely used in infrared optical systems.
ZnSe has excellent infrared transmission properties.
The production of the ZnSe lens
We offer various types of zinc selenide lenses.
The spherical, cylindrical and crescent-shaped lenses are available in multiple diameters, thicknesses, focal lengths and configurations. You can also choose aspheric, plano-concave, concave-convex and plano-convex lenses.
