KBr optical window
- Excellent Transmission from 250nm – 26μm
- Good Resistance to Mechanical Shock
- Ideal for FTIR Spectroscopy
- Sodiium Chioride(NaCL) Windows Also Available
Potassium Bromide (KBr) optical windows offer excellent transparency from 250 nm to 26 µm, making them ideal for infrared spectroscopy applications. They have low absorption and high transmittance in the mid-IR range, commonly used in FTIR spectrometers and gas analysis. KBr windows are soft and hygroscopic, requiring proper storage to prevent moisture damage. Custom sizes and coatings are available to enhance durability and performance.
