IR Windows, also known as Infrared Optical Windows, are essential components used in a wide range of industries for infrared (IR) applications. Made from materials like Germanium, Zinc Selenide, and Sapphire, these windows offer excellent transmission in the infrared spectrum. IR Windows are used in thermal imaging, surveillance systems, and laser applications. They are designed to withstand harsh environments while maintaining clarity and precision. Ideal for high-performance systems, IR windows provide durability and optical quality for infrared technologies.

Types of IR Windows

The range of H.VIR® IR windows: inspection windows intended for the thermographic maintenance of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, busbar, motors). Thanks to H.VIR® IR windows, it is possible to carry out maintenance testing on live equipment using thermography. Equipped with infrared cameras, thermographic technicians and operators have real protection from electrical arcs (start of fire).

The range of HVIS IR windows: inspection windows intended for visual monitoring. The H.VIS Electric Eye® IR windows are optomechanical packages composed of an optic and a frame. The main objective of the H.VIS Electric Eye® IR windows is to allow for visual inspection of electrical equipment. However, it can also be used for thermography, but with shortwave cameras (3 to 5 µm) only.

The range of FMIR IR windows: standardised interface windows allowing for measures intended for use in research and industry. You can create your FMIR IR windows by choosing the following assembling criteria (viewing diameter, mechanical frame material, minimum and maximum spectral domain, temperature range). The standardised FMIR IR windows are the fruit of our long experience in optics and optomechanics.
