What is a Half-Penta Prism?

A Half-Penta Prism is a type of optical prism designed to deviate light by exactly 90° while maintaining the image orientation.

Structure of the prism

 

A half penta prism is shaped like a penta prism cut in half.

It will have four lateral sides, two of which are transparent.

The main substrates include BK7 Glass, Fused Silica and other materials.

Also, the  entrance and exit face can choose anti-reflective or protective coatings.
